1968 Pontiac Firebird 350. This car, until a few weeks ago was owned by the same family since purchased new in Phoenix, AZ. The car has spent it's life here and until a few weeks ago was garage kept for 25 years, with occasional drives around the block to keep it fresh. I was told the mileage is actual, and seeing and driving the car confirmed this. The interior is in exceptional condition, especially considering the age of the vehicle and the fact that it is an AZ car, which is great for the body, but usually destroys an interior. The car starts right up. The steering is tight and the suspension is firm. It doesn't have the usual rattles and squeaks that I expected a muscle car this old to have. The engine pulls hard. Remember, this is a big block Pontiac 350, not a Chevy small block. This is not a perfect car, but it may be THE perfect car. It is a great candidate for restoration, or as a daily driver. I wouldn't claim it as a survivor car, but in my opinion this is as close as it gets. The only non-original features of the car: Exhaust - at some point aftermarket dual exhaust was put on the vehicle, and it sounds good. Paint - the car was repainted, "a long time ago" I was told. It appears to be lacquer. I would give the paint a 7 out of 10. It has it's share of chips and scrapes but nothing you wouldn't expect on a nearly half-century old car.
